I've become a bit frustrated by something lately but I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the fight or not.

Since I've been incapacitated with my broken ankle, I haven't been able to get around or live in my apartment. It's not exactly wheelchair accessible. The 3-inch step on the front door jamb takes care of that. I shouldn't be living alone anyway just so that I have support when I need it; however, I really hate to pay for an apartment to sit empty for the next 2 months until my lease ends.

I've spoken briefly with my complex's management and, so far, they are not letting me out of my lease unless I find someone to take it over. Considering the time frame, it's not very likely that I'll be able to do that. I'm working on getting a copy of my lease to review and hope that showing up there in my wheelchair will help illustrate the severity of my situation and maybe even soften their hearts.

Is it worth it to fight to be let out of my lease and have to move out by the end of the month when I'm not living there to begin with? Should I just pack up my stuff and move it out to be ready for when that time comes? Argh- more than the soreness and aches or the surgery or the doctor's visits- this has been a real pain.
